Graduated in 2013 from Jingdezhen Ceramic University, majoring in Ceramic Design. Creating tea wares since 2013.

The practice
Time held in material
Yujian Cai’s practice is grounded in time, attention, and lived experience. Working with plant ash glazes and tea vessels, the process unfolds where mineral, heat, atmosphere, and human judgment meet.
The firing
Form & atmosphere
Each firing is singular. Colors drift through layered greys, blue-greens, purples, and quiet opalescence, allowing chance to remain visible while form and use stay closely connected.
