Preparing the leaves

This Tea Measure and Pick by Chiju brings two complementary tools to the tea table. The elongated measure holds loose leaves before brewing, while the slender pick helps guide them into a teapot or gaiwan.

The measure’s shallow channel and gently raised edges keep the leaves together. The pick follows the length of the form, creating a compact set for preparing and transferring tea.

Cherry wood and lacquer

Made from cherry wood and finished with lacquer, the set pairs the grain of the wood with a dark, softly reflective surface. The finish follows the carved shape, keeping the curves and fine edges visible.
